The Wheatland Baseball Tournament will begin next week on Monday, 4/10. The first three rounds will be played at Wheatland Sports Complex with all three rounds starting at 4:00 PM. The first round will be against Lakeland, the second round on Tuesday, will be against Weaubleau and the third round will be against Wheatland on Thursday. The bracket is attached. The Lady Pirates Softball team host the Dixon Lady Bulldogs on Thursday this week 4/6 at Ballparks National with a start time of 5:00 PM. Come out and support the girl as they only have one more home game this spring against Plato. Ballparks National has also mentioned to be very careful coming in to the park as they are doing a lot of road work. #MCPirates

The Macks Creek Park Board is hosting a whole-family event this Saturday at the Macks Creek Community Park from 10 - 2. This "all-free" event will include Easter egg hunting, games & activities, a bounce house, as well as drawings and give aways of a variety of donated prizes. Hot dogs, chips and soda will be served. The egg hunt for ages 0 - 4 will start at 11 AM. The hunt for ages 5 - 8 will start at noon and the hunt for children ages 9 - 12 will begin at 1:00 PM. All of the eggs will be stuffed with fun prizes or candy. Families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. Overflow parking will be available at Macks Creek School and a shuttle will be provided. Addie Ratliff and Caleb Phillips finished out this evening's meet for the Pirates in the 3200m race. Addie took 4th place overall with a time of 14:37. In his third distance contest of the evening, Caleb took 2nd with a time of 11:26. Great job HS Track team! The team will be back in action this Thursday at Osceola. #MCPirates
Jade Stasiak ran a PR this evening in the 400 with a time of 1:16. Brooklyn Duggan ran the 300m hurdles faster than she did last meet, finishing 56.23. Jose Cortez took a full second off his time from Buffalo, finishing the 300m hurdles in 46.53. In the 800 meter, Caleb Phillips ran a PR of 2:09.25 to take 1st place. Great job team! #MCPirates

The Pirates distance runners ran hard in the mile this evening at Warsaw. Addie Ratliff took 3rd with a 6:27 and Caleb Phillips took 1st with a 4:41. Way to run Addie and Caleb! #MCPirates

The HS Track team is at the Warsaw Invitational this evening. Brooklyn Duggan started off with a great time in 100m hurdles of 18.3 seconds. Jose Cortez took 2nd in 110m hurdles with a time of 18.5 seconds. In the 100m dash, Brooklyn took 3rd with a time of 13.7. In the same event, Jose ran well with a time of 12.62. Macks Creek Art and Music students visited the Crystal Bridges Museum in Bentonville, AR. They took an hour long tour of Diego Rivera's mural work, were treated to lunch provided by the museum, and then got to explore the museum campus showcasing a mix of art and culture. Our art teacher, Mr. Cullen shared, "I look forward to returning next year with a whole new group." #MCPirates
The High School Track team competed at the Buffalo Invitational last night. Despite having the meet cut short because of weather, the team performed well. Brooklyn Duggan ran in the 100m hurdles (19.88) and the 300m hurdles (57.69). Jade Stasiak ran in the 400m dash (1:19, setting a PR) and for the first time, in the 200m dash (35.27). Addison Ratliff ran in the 1600m (6:25, setting a PR) and the 800m (2:56). Caleb Phillips competed in the 1600m (4:48) only due to the cancellation. Jose Cortez competed in the 110m hurdles (18.84), the 300m hurdles (47.7) and the 100m dash (13.55). The team was scheduled to compete at Russellville tomorrow, but will instead travel to Warsaw this Monday. A great early-season performance Lady Pirates and Pirates! #MCPirates
