Algebra One is starting to explore exponential functions in class this past week. These students were tasked with finding the “Last Man Standing”, where they were able to develop the idea of how exponential functions increase and decrease at a constant ratio rather than at a constant rate. This exploitative project defined what it means to have an exponential decay function and how we can apply it in our everyday life. This will lead our conversations into exponential growth as well as simple and compound interests.
