Macks Creek Middle School students competed in the PCL Science Olympiad tonight in Hermitage. Students competed in bridge building, constructing weight-bearing straw towers, rocket launching, catapult design, and the egg drop. Students also took tests to see which school is the most adept in astronomy, weather, anatomy and general science. We will share specific results tomorrow. Great job Pirates! #MCPirates

Reminder!!! This week is "Red Ribbon Week" for Macks Creek elementary, middle, and high school. The Red Ribbon campaign focuses on AWARENESS, ADVOCACY, and RESOURCES of drug prevention among youth. We dress up each day to show our support for the campaign. The following are the themes for each day:

The MC Lady Pirates Cross Country Team raced in Vienna today. Molly Phillips led our group finishing 3rd with a time of 22:35. Adriana Mayer continues to slash her times and finished 11th (26:06). Alyssa Seaholm improved upon her time as well running 27:45 and Chelsey Brown also ran a personal best at 28:07. The Lady Pirates will spend the next two weeks preparing for the district meet on November 4th. The Ladies should have a full squad at districts and are looking forward to scoring as a team. Great job today ladies! Practice hard for districts! #MCPirates
The MC XC Pirates traveled to Vienna today where our runners improved upon their previous times. Each PR is even more impressive considering our athletes ran in a strong wind the entire race. Austin Brown finished 17th (20:14), Preston Borgmeyer ran 23:08, and Oliver Sanchez finished 27:56. Great job Pirates! #MCPirates

Directions to St. Elizabeth Softball Fields:
1. Take Hwy 54 to the US 54 BUS/Missouri 52 Exit toward Eldon/Tuscumbia
2. Take a right onto Hwy 52 towards Tuscumbia
3. Stay on until you reach the Hwy 17 S/MO 52 E Turn off
4. Turn right onto Hwy 17 S
5. Follow Hwy 17 for about a mile and then turn left onto Hwy 52 E (roughly 13 miles to reach St. E.)
When reaching St. Elizabeth, you can make a right onto Vine Street. Follow this road until you see E Road on your right (Also known as Ball Park Road). The fields will be just up this road on the left. If you should get lost, look for the Water Tower. The field is located just below that.
The JH Lady Pirates play the JH Lady Tigers of Walnut Grove tonight at 6:30 pm for the championship in the PCL Tournament at Hermitage. GO JH LADY PIRATES!
