Teachers are continuously working to communicate and provide learning options for all students. If you have internet access or cell phone service where you live, please make sure your students are checking their emails or other electronic messaging apps daily for communication from teachers. Tomorrow, Friday, April 10th from 9:00 am - 11:00 am we will have learning packets, meals, Chromebooks, and Jostens items (high school) ready for pick up. If circumstances have changed in your household or you have any questions, please send an email to bkolwyck@mackscreekpirates.org or joriphillips@mackscreekpirates.org and we will try to help. Broadband Providers Respond to COVID-19 Broadband access is more important than ever, as Missourians have been instructed to stay home from work and school as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Accessibility is critical to meet our needs for education as well as telemedicine, telecommuting and overall quality of life. In response to this, several broadband providers are temporarily offering free internet service, waiving disconnect and late fees, providing access to Wi-Fi hot spots, and other measures to help people at home access the services they need. Click here to learn more on the DHSS website.  #MCPirates

MACKS CREEK SCHOOL CLOSURE EXTENDED THROUGH APRIL 30th The ongoing spread of COVID-19 in our region requires school districts to make difficult decisions.  These decisions are being made in the best interests of public health.  In consultation with health department officials we will extend the closure of school through Thursday April 30, 2020. The extended closure impacts all extra and co-curricular activities including athletic competitions, practices, and after school programs and events. Our district understand this is an uncertain time. Please know our goal in this closure is to assist our community in slowing the transmission of the COVID-19 virus. According to health officials, the practice of social distancing can slow the transmission of the virus. During this time we must continue to support and care for one another. #MCPirates
