Macks Creek is proud to send three athletes to the Class 1 State Cross Country Meet next Saturday in Columbia.
Congratulations to Addison Ratliff who raced to secure an 11th Place finish overall at the Girls' District 3 Meet today at Fulton High School. Addie, a sophomore ran 23:41 and is excited to make the 2nd trip of her career to State which will be held at the University of Missouri's course at Gans Creek.
In the Boys' Class 1 District 3 meet, Caleb Phillips and Vaughn Vasquez are both State-bound. Caleb was the District Runner-Up with an impressive 2nd place finish. Caleb, a junior, will be making the 3rd trip of his XC career to State. Caleb ran an 18:02 on a very technical course today. Vaughn, a sophomore, who is also no stranger to State, finished 29th place today with a 20:15. Last year he advanced with the team. This year, without enough runners to make a full team, he finished in the top 30 to secure his 2nd trip to Gans Creek.
Congratulations Addie, Caleb and Vaughn! We are proud of you and looking forward to your State performances this year!
Freshman Brionna Boggs and Sophomore Sean Green ran hard today, but did not advance. Brionna finished 80th and Sean finished 84th. Both made positive strides throughout the season and we are proud of their hard work and commitment!
