What is autism friendly? Autism Friendly means being aware of social engagement and environmental factors affecting people on the autism spectrum, with modifications to communication methods and physical space to better suit individual’s unique and special needs. On January 2nd the faculty and staff at Macks Creek R-V received training from Stars For Autism trainers in the four main issues associated with autism: disorders in communication, sensory issues, difficulty in social interactions, and unusual behaviors.
STARS for Autism brings training, education, and resources to communities to help businesses, organizations, schools, agencies, and citizens to better understand and accept individuals on the autism spectrum.
