IBERIA - Macks Creek traveled to Iberia for a make-up game on Tuesday night against the Rangers. At the end of the evening it was Iberia coming away with an 8-0 win over the visiting Pirates.

Iberia three runs in the first and third and single tallies in the second and fourth to create their total.

Offensively, Macks Creek had their best chance to score in the third. Preston Borgmeyer singled to right and moved to second on a wild pitch. Following a beaning of Dakota Willis, a strikeout and ground out moved the runners each up a base. Keith Edelman was then hit-by-a-pitch to load the bases. Willis was picked off at second to end the threat.

Hunter Harris reached via a hit-by-pitch in the fifth. Kyler Gabriel and Keith Edelman each walked in the sixth. In the seventh Harris reached base again when he walked.

"Defensively we had some early struggles, but, we made some adjustments and started making some plays," said Macks Creek Coach Jason Trusty, "if we can figure out a way to do this each night we will slowly start to find ourselves in games."

"We will again use the experience we gained tonight and keep moving forward."

For the Pirates Borgmeyer's single was the only hit for them in the contest. Keith Edelman and Hunter Harris each reached on hit-by-pitch and a walk, Dakota Willis was hit-by-a-pitch, and Kyler Gabriel walked.

Grant English (0-3) started and went six innings in suffering the loss. He struck out five, walked one, and was touched for eight runs, two earned, on 10 hits.

Macks Creek falls to 0-10 with the loss. The Pirates will be back in action on Thursday when they travel to take on the Lakeland Vikings. Game time is set for 5:00.

The JV Pirates fell in the night cap by the score of 10-0.

Preston Borgmeyer and Trever Smith each singled for the only offense.

Ethan English started and took the loss on the hill. He worked an inning-and-a-third, allowing four runs, three earned, on three hits while striking out one and walking two. Dakota Willis relieved and worked one-third of an inning, allowing six runs, five earned, on three hits while walking four. Keith Edelman also worked one-third of an inning and walked two.

The JV Pirates fall to 0-6 with the loss.
