WEAUBLEAU - The Macks Creek Lady Pirates's offensive woes continued on Monday night when they traveled to take on the Weaubleau Lady Tigers. At the end of the night it was Weaubleau coming away with a 6-0 win.

Macks Creek's Jesse Willis singled to right with one out in the top of the first but was erased on a double play. In the bottom of the inning Weaubleau plated their first run. Kayla Hostettler reached on an error and was thrown out trying to steal second. After a fly out to left, Jenna Daggett doubled and came around to score on Liz Stewart's RBI-single to left. A pop out short ended the inning.

Shaylee Skinner walked for Macks Creek with one out in the top of the second and courtesy runner Syrena Rector reached second but a strike out and a ground ended the inning. Weaubleau went 1-2-3 in their half of the inning.

The Lady Pirates looked to score in the top of the third. Kenzie Hicks lifted a soft liner over the head of the short stop and moved to second when Myra Cortez walked. Hicks was erased at third on Jesse Willis's ground ball to short, with Cortez moving up to second base. An errant back-pick from the pitcher to second allowed both runners to move up a base, but a ground out to the pitcher ended the frame.

Weaubleau plated four more runs in the bottom of the third. Kayla Hostettler singled to center and moved to third on Celena Lambeth's grounder to third that was thrown past first. Both runners would score on Jenna Daggett's RBI-triple to right-center field for a 4-0 lead. Following a pop out to second, Addy Durnell drove in Daggett with a single to left. She would come in to score from first on Kaylee Lower's RBI-double to right. A strike out ended the frame.

The next three innings went by quietly, with the Lady Tigers turning two double plays and scoring a single tally in the sixth. Emma Breshears singled but was erased on Kayla Caufield's fielder's choice to second. Caufield then came around on Kayla Hostettler's RBI-double to left-center field. The Lady Pirates put a runner on in the top of the seventh when Courtney Knight singled down the right field line with two outs. She would remain stranded as a strike out ended the game.

"We are having a bit of a funk offensively, especially with our defense and pitching playing well," commented Coach Jason Trusty, "we are putting the ball in play but it seems to go to someone."

Shaylee Skinner (5-6) suffered the loss. She was touched for six runs, four earned, in six innings of work on 10 hits while striking out five.

Jenna Daggett collected the win with her seven innings. She struck out eight, walked two, and allowed six hits.

Courtney Knight and Kenzie Hicks each collected two singles to pace Macks Creek's offense. Jesse Willis singled and reached on a fielder's choice and Bobbie Hilton singled for the only two other hits. Myra Cortez reached on a walk and Shaylee Skinner walked.
